HP - ENVY x360 2-in-1 15.6" 15M-EE0023DX

What are the specifications of the built in multicard reader, I am not finding any real specifications on the card. I am Interested in which card standards  it supports, maximum sizes supported and it’s maximum transfer rates for the different card types. My system is ordered and I am looking to buy some SD possibly SDHC or SDXC cards to use with it and would like to avoid wasting money on a card that will not work , or is rated for speeds way above what the card readers transfer speed rating.

It supports SD, SDHC and SDXC cards (including micro cards on adapters) up to 2TB. But I only tested it with 512GB. I don't have higher capacity card because I would NEVER store many things to an easy to get lost card.

Regards.

That covers size, and is actually way more than I currently need. Anybody know about transfer speed ratings of the device itself?

No, you won't get steady transfer speed. By the way, each card has its transfer speed printed on itself:  U1, U3, class 10 ... for example 170 MB/s as shown:

Hope this makes sense

I get that different cards have different speed ratings, my question isn’t what is the speed rating of the particular card, I am buying. My question is what is the speed rating of the built in reader, as there is no use spending extra on a 170MB/s if the fasted device I have reading/writing to the card is only rated for 110MB/s, as the 170MB/s card will only operate at 110MB/s in that device.

My goal here is to get a card with performance that is on par with the speed of the fastest device I am going to use it with, and not waste money for performance I can’t use on any of the devices I plan to use the card with.
