HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 13-ay0008ne
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

its been almost 2 years since i got my envy x360, i dont take it any where and usually just sits on my desk. just 2 weeks ago i was doing my routine work as usual and once i was done, went to close the screen and suddenly heard a pop or crack like sound. i was shocked seeing my laptop didnt close completely so i opened up slowly seeing an open space by my right hinge and thank god the screen wasnt cracked. i didnt know what to do as i didnt forcefully close or try to damage it any way so i look into the issue online and found out that it just wasnt me there were many others facing the same issue and its more like a fault on HP's side. i have never tried to bend or close my laptop for past 2 weeks and leave it open once am done with work. looked into fixing the issue but the cost was too much so had to come to the community where i can find some solution. HP look into this problem and fix it up. the damage wasnt caused by the consumer and its more like factory defect.

Hi @itsAp07,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

I see that you are facing hinge issues with your HP ENVY X360 Laptop - 13-Ay0008ne.

This could be a hardware issue with the unit and may need repair.

I suggest that you contact HP Service Center in your location from this weblink: https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/service-center
