My HP envy a hinge became stuck and when I opened the laptop caused the metal section and rivets to be ripped out of the plastic, this is clearly a design flaw as has been pointed out by many others on this forum, many of which have received repairs for free even when out of warranty for the exact same breakage.
however, when contacting customer service they demand I pay for the repair and refuse to answer questions regarding how others have received this for free any ideas what I can do, as a student I cannot afford the repair and need the laptop for my work.
