You're very welcome.

Here is the link to the driver you need.

4.4.234.0

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp58501-59000/sp58900.exe

You will need to manually install the driver as follows...

Download and run the driver.  It will most likely not install the fingerprint sensor.

Go to the device manager.  Click on the unknown device needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update driver.

Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.

That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp58900.

Make sure that the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver will install.

Hi:

If the fingerprint reader driver is installed, see if installing the W10 version of the HP simple pass software allows you to use the fingerprint reader.

HP SimplePass Identity Protection Software

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp86501-87000/sp86959.exe

If the fingerprint reader driver is not installed, there will be an unknown device listed in the device manager.

If you see such a device, let me know and I will give you the link to the fingerprint driver you need.

Thanks so much for your quick response.  Apparently the driver is not installed so if you would send me that link I am pretty sure I will be good to go.  Again thanks.
