I opened up my laptop to change out my ram and upgrade to Kingston Fury Impact 16GB instead of the standard Samsung 4GB ram. I noticed the connectors for a second slot but no second slot. Is the hp fq-0010nr supposed to have 2 ram slots or do I have to get the second one separate?

Hi:
The notebooks with the AMD 3020e processors and 64 GB eMMC drives only have one memory slot.
You can't add anything to make the second slot work.
The 16 GB chip should work in the single slot though.
Also the M.2 SSD slot you see on the motherboard only support SATA SSD's in the notebooks with the AMD 3020e processors and 64 GB eMMC drives.
A NVMe SSD will not work.
