Hello everyone,
I have an HP 17-bs0xx laptop that has two broken hinges and now a screen that has completely separated from the keyboard. Unfortunately, when the screen came loose it also seemed to disconnect a wire to a WIFI related component located near the screen, and now the computer is completely useless.
My questions are: how best to have the outer case and hinges replaced and the wifi adapter or antenna repaired; what the cost on that may be; who can do that type of repair and thoughts on whether fixing it is even worth it? I would like to get it fixed if it makes financial sense.
The computer doesn't have too many miles on it as the hinge problem started within three months of buying it and we had been dealing with the issue by propping the screen up and using duct tape to keep everything together.
Any guidance or advice would be greatly appreciated.
