I am having an issue with slow computer. I have tried to download the HP support assistant but it says I had to download the legacy edition which I did but i cant find it anywhere. I tried to run a performance tune up but that doesn't work either. anyone know how I can find out why its so slow??? I had Windows 10 on here and did the free upgrade to Windows 11 but I just dont know how to get any kind of diagnostic to

From your description, the OS is installed in a legacy volume.
That would be MBR instead of UEFI.
UEFI is required in order to use the HP Hardware Diagnostics UEFI utility.
You could also perform a Windows reset to fix its issues.
That would be preferable since your OS installation, from my research infers, is perhaps up to seven years old. That would explain why everything is "slow"
You could optionally reinstall Windows 10 with Cloud recovery software to clean up the Windows installation.

You will need the serial number to do that. YOu can download the recovery software from the Microsoft store.
Once you have done that you can upgrade to Windows 11, but be aware that since your laptop is not supported for Windows 11, it will never be a snappy and responsive OS, like it was in Windows 10.
