I bought a HP pavilion 15 en0025n with 12th Gen i7-1255u, 16G ram from amazon. I feel the speed is slow, even I use best performance setting. when I check its performance from task manager, it show the base speed is 1.7 GHz. I checked HP website, it says it is up to 4.7 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology. But I have I never seen it go above 1.7GHz, what is turbo boost? Do I need to turn it on?

Anyway I can make it faster?

Turbo Boost is automatic.

I suggest using CPU-Z to see the actual performance.

Have you entered the BIOS to verify that Turbo Boost is enabled?
