My daughter has had this only had this laptop 2 years, however in this second year, cracks have started appearing on the lid and bits falling off near charger hole and having to stick on with blue Tac.
Now , there is a huge crack through the inside screen and touchscreen only works sporadically. It was not cheap at £400 thinking this would last sometime. Will HP be responsible as the warranty has expired ? It’s only 2 years old and she doesn’t use it that much. I’ve never seen this in a laptop before. She has additional needs and is quite upset by this and hasn’t done much with it, to warrant this damage.
I’m not very computer savvy and would like suggestions on what to do about this?
Also, going forward what might be the best type of hardware for her internet use, games, watching you tube nothing excessive self teaching techniques, as she is not on par with her peers in problem solving . Something sturdy but quite large as she eye issues.
Thank you to anyone that can offer advise.
My daughter is 10 years old and off to secondary school in September 2020 and I want her to feel up to date with her peers. I’m asd single mum and me and her grandad put together for this laptop she really wanted now it’s falling apart. She has no friends out of school and barely plays with anything. Her laptop is important to her. She has autism, adhd and dyspraxia, so life is challenging enough without this happening.
Again, please help, any advise will be appreciated.
