Hello,
trying to upgrade to FHD display panel. Tried 2 different panels from different manufactures. They did show image but both like through a "milky shade".
I found one thread here in community but it is archived and not labeled as Resolved.
The video device in mine is AMD radeon HD 7600M Series which kinda hints...
May be I just don't want to believe the obvious but it looks to me I saw FHD resolution as available in an intel system checker utility.
(Doing the same upgrade for 3 family notebooks, so I may have mixed "for whom what". One was successful by the way, different newer HP model though).
Appreciate any useful advice.

Thank you all for your support.
Here is the correct answer:
Dual channel LCD cable (not sure I name it correctly) + FHD display panel made it work perfectly. Here is the p/n I used:
1. DD0R39LC000 - LVDS Cable. Yes, it's name calls it for G7-2000 but it is not a big deal to stow the excess length in a nice snake-shaped stow ;o)
2. B156HW01 V3 LED panel.
Photo proof attached 😉

Hi,
Non of the models in that series had a FHD monitor, so it will not work as it will not be supported.
Service manual:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03277661
In the newer model it most likely worked as some notebooks in that series have the FHD screen so motherboard and cable are able to trnìansmit the signal.
Hope it helps,
David
