Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Trying to upgrade to 16gb but this PNY 16gb led to black screen, i reinserted oe memory which is kinston branded back in and it booted fine.  Is there a particular memory thats works well in this laptop?  i used PNY 16gb mn16gsd42666 from best buy.

Hard to explain. The memory seems to tick all the boxes for compatibility. Its called "performance" but runs at standard CL = 19 latency. I think you may have gotten a bad stick.

Thank you, wasn't sure if the voltage requirement was too high for the upgrade.  I can't see on the or what it took.

Voltage and speed are right DDRV-2666 and 1.2v...as I said "all the boxes".
