HP Probook 430 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So recently my Hard drive started failing, it became really slow so i decided to run a hard drive check and it failed the short DST test, so i bought a new SSD. I than installed windows on this SSD from another computer because this laptop wont read my usb thumbdrives and than proceeded to insert it on to the laptop, however it wont boot. When i power it on it tells me no boot device, Hard disk (3OF). It than tells me to run a system diagnostic, which i do, and it passes the smart check, but when i do the Short/Long DST it says not available. I can see the SSD on the Bios boot menu. What do i no now?

What you did will not work -- because the other PC has different hardware and an install there will write different drivers to it -- which will probably NOT work on your PC.

You should get a 32GB USB stick and use the directions below to create your own recovery media and use that:

If your PC is a 2016 model or newer, you should see if you can make a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool on a working PC.

The recovery drive can then be used to install Win10 and the HP drivers and utilities that originally came with your PC.
