HP Recommended

So I have a HP Probook 460 Gen11 that a staff was doing updates on. She said the laptop said it would update in 5 min. She walked away when she came back the screen was flickering and now is only black. Upon testing the login screen shows up no issue. But once you log in the screen turn black. The cursor is still visible. Certain things will pop up like using the project key will bring up the options to duplicate and etc. ctrl + alt+ delete will bring up those options and I can open task manager. One solution I found was to restart windows explorer, but it is not in the task manger and I am unable to run the new task of explorer.exe. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
