Hello!

Recently I bought new HP probook x360 440 G1 notebook. Accoriding to documentation I found there should be additional free slot for secondary SSD.

I would like to know if I need to buy HDD hardware kit to insert additonal SSD and if I do, where can I buy it and what kind of HDD hardware kit (part number of link to the item would be great)?

Thank you!

Hi,

There is only place for an M2 SATA3 or much faster M2 PCIe NVMe solid state drive. So you could place a higher capacity SSD in the slot.

Hope it helps,

Ok, that's strange. I know there could be mistake a in description where I bought this notebook (it was written it supports another ssd), but when I open hp assistant it also shows me I have a free connector...

I read that too before buying my HP probook x360 400 G1. I went back and this site is one of a couple that mentioned it:

https://www.anandtech.com/show/12903/hp-announces-probook-x360-440-g1-notebook

"Internally the ProBook x360 440 G1 is able to house two storage drives - up to a 512GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD and up to a 256GB M.2 SATA SSD."
