Need to replace current battery that is 3-cell 11.1V 31Wh 2612mAh rated. The recommended replacement based on the sticker is HP Spare 746641-001 which appears to be a 4-cell 2200MAH/14.8V battery. Will using a higher voltage battery damage the laptop or is the input circuit designed for this?
HP no longer sells the replacement battery.
Thank you.
