HP serial not accept by HP

Hello.

I have a HP EliteBook 8540p and can't add it to my HP profile on HP's website to get proper assistance. I can't even add it here on my profile. HP can't detect my device when I choose "Let HP detect your device". I have the original sticker under my Notebook with the serial and product numbers and codes. What can I do?

Hi:

It appears that HP has retired support for the model series which is why nothing happens when you try to access the support site or add the PC to your profile.

What is it that you need for your notebook?

I Went into Device Manager, View, Ticked Show Hidden Devices.

I want to know of each part I see Manufacturer, Make, Model, Version, Version Date so that I can make sure everything I see is updated to the best last driver. I also want to know where I can get all these drivers? And stupid me also need help to choose the best right drivers. You get so many different names, part numbers, versions, dates, manufacturers.

HP PartSurfer

You will get part numbers for the devices.

You will not get any info on the Manufacturer, Make, Model, of the components.

The PC never had support for W8, 8.1 or W10 from HP, so W10 has already installed the latest drivers that were available at the time.

If you need drivers for devices that W10 didn't install, then you can use the W7 drivers from the link below:
