HP Stream 11 Pro Notebook (L3Q38ES#ABU)

Hello All

I have a HP Stream 11 Pro Notebook (L3Q38ES#ABU) which cannot detect a hard drive when it is turned on. It just come up with boot device not found. I cannot run the HP diagnostic tools on the hard drive as it says "This system uses a flash device for primary storage. To test this flash device, please install HP UEFI support Enviroment." which I cannot do as I canot boot into the machine. Are there tools that I can put onto a USB stick and run the enviroment from there or since the hard drive is on the board should I look into getting the main board replaced?

Did you create a recovery flash drive?

If you did not, you certainly should have.

The HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI softpaq download found at the link below can be installed to a USB flash drive.

See the following HP PC Hardware Diagnostics portal page. You may need to create an HP PC Hardware Diagnostics  4-IN-1 USB key.

Don't you need to be an authorised partner to use the 4 in 1 USB key?

No. It is just another tool.

"For HP authorized service partners and IT professionals who need to support a mixed environment of older and newer HP/Compaq PCs, the HP PC Diagnostics 4-in-1 USB Key is a diagnostic tool that supports a wide range of HP Desktop and Notebook PCs "
