HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 13-ay0009na
Microsoft Windows 11

I'm extremely shocked and disappointed today as I had the same experience with my new hp X360 envy laptop, The right side hinge has begun to open up and does not allow me to close or open the laptop any further. It makes a very painful cracking noise when I attempt to close the lid. Surprisingly this happened exactly 1 month after the warranty period has expired. Seeing all the messages in this thread I think this is very common with this laptop. I do not know what has to be done at this stage as I bought this laptop only a year ago and I have always handled it in the best possible manner. Being a university student I used it very minimally for study and research purposes and this is the condition of this laptop. It is very depressing and disappointing seeing the quality of HP laptops come to this state. Please help me as I need my laptop for my university.
