HP Pavilion - 14-ce2068st
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

Earlier my HP14(warranty expired) display's bezel(actually hinge) in the lower right corner was separating from the glass and back panel a little after opening the notebook. I could press on it and it would stick back on. Over time it grew worse until the right hinge began working poorly. Eventually 3 small black plastic pieces fell out. I can see some threading on them so they indicate the hinge failures that are found on HP laptops on this site and other websites. Now when it is separated I can see a metal frame behind the bezel. I cannot get the bezel to hold on its own and right hinge area wobbles some. So, I have a spring clip holding the bezel to the back. Of course I can't close the display with this clip. It is now effectively a desktop with an non- adjustable display.

Laptop was never dropped and did not get much vibration that I can think of.  The rest of the laptop works great.

Where can I find new hinge or hinges if this problem will also appear on the left side?

Thanks, CB
