I have a HP 255 G7 laptop without backlit keyboard. I like the backlit keyboard so I would like to know if I can fit a backlit keyboard to my laptop.

No, backlit keyboard was not an option on that model series and there is no other keyboard you could swap in. Also the keyboard is part of the larger top cover, which is an expensive part very hard to replace. Complete disassembly required. You will have to get a usb laptop light for the closest thing to the experience of a backlit keyboard.
