According to specs, 4 gb is maximum:
Memory Max | Supports up to 4 GB DDR3 memory |
Needs
2 GB 598856-001
Upgrade from 3 gigs to 4 gigs does not sound like much but if you install a matched pair it will run in "dual channel" which is noticeably faster and that extra gig of RAM in addition to 3 will make a substantial difference.
The Manual says some models can take 8 gigs but if you read the manual carefully that is only for version 1.1 and models with your processor are not version 1.1 so max is actually 4 gigs. If you buy 2 x 4 gigs it will not work.
@REO51ST you might want to dig into the Manual. His model has the i3-350 which is not included with version 1.1 so max is 4 gigs, not 8.
