Good morning,
I have an HP EliteBook, and to connect two monitors and a keyboard, I use a TARGUS DOCK423EU hub.
This hub is connected via USB-C, and when I use the hub's cable directly, everything works without any issues. However, when I use a USB-C extender, the USB ports do not function. For example, when I try to connect a keyboard, it powers on and off and doesn't work. To provide more context, if I connect it in the same way to another computer I have, there is no problem at all. I even bought a much better USB-C cable (20 Gbps, 100 W/5 A, USB-C cable, compatible with USB 3.2 Gen2, USB 3.1, USB 3.0, 4K @ 60 Hz), but nothing works.

Hi @ruikkonnen
It depends on the length of the cable, a length longer than 1 meter will surely cause data transfer problems, USB-C ports have their limits.

Hi @Resistencia,
Thanks for the reply. My cable only has 1 meter, but what upsets me the most is that those problems only occurs on my pc (hp), on another one works well. Could be any gap on the usb c por of the hp?

For some HP models, if a proper USB-C cable is not used, it can lower the amperage of the port from 3 to 1.5 Amps, causing some devices to not work.
