So my laptop booted up this morning to a SMART Hard Disk Error.
Running the test, it said Hard Drive 1 Failed with the fail ID of: 0LMXHL-879A15-GXGK7F-60B803
I searched the forum and it seems this failure most likely means I'll have to replace the hard drive. If that's the unfortunate case, is this something I can easily do myself? Are there estimates on the price of a hard drive for this product? Thanks for any help.

Hello,
The test found a problem with your hard drive and it may need to be replaced. If possible, back up your personal files to a flash drive or external hard drive as soon as you can.
The procedure for replacing the hard disk drive can be found in the HP manual below on pages 30 and 31.
For example, you have the following hard drive.
