Hi Recently my laptop started to get a little laggy so i decided to format the hard drive and reinstall windows. After reinstalling the laptop was still slow and laggy so does that mean that my hard drive is on its verge to dying ?

Possibly but generally if the hard drive will let you install an OS onto it then it is not defective. You should have preboot UEFI diagnostics available. Tap esc as you power up then F2 to enter diagnostics and look for the long hard drive test. Run it and see if an error is registered. If not you might want to consider adding more RAM up to at least 8 gigs and replacing the legacy spinning mechanical hard drive with a solid state drive.
