Product: Pavillion Notebook

Hello,

I`ve tried to switch on the laptop and it doesn`t do anything then I`ve run a quick component test and it says that the HD Short DST failed. I have a 24 digits failure id: U4PXVV-7PUA1F-MFPWMG-60R303. Is there anything I can do to repair it? Also, I want to recover everything I have on it. Thank you!

Hi

The HDD has failed.

To recover stuff is dependent on the drive spinning up once more in an external caddy and immediately copying off data.

 

So you would want to replace the HDD and Operating System.
