HP 15 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently tried resetting my computer because of heavy or long freezes to which after the automatic restart I get an error message saying that "The boot configuration data for your pc is missing or contains errors." I did a diagnostic test of my hard drive to which failed: 9TX06X-8AJA9X-MFPX6J-60VC03. My warranty has already ended so I was wondering if I could get some help.

Manual

Pages 40-46 spell out how to. If a video is easier this one explains it

I would strongly suggest replacing the hard drive with a solid state drive such as this:

https://www.amazon.com/Blue-NAND-500GB-SSD-WDS500G2B0A/dp/B073SBZ8YH/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=2....

The SSD will fit exactly into the old mounting hardware and cable.

Your drivers and such:

Windows 10 is a free download just google Microsoft Media Creation Tool and you can download and create a thumb drive to reinstall. No Key Code needed. Good luck
