Performed system fast and extensive test and each time it comes back with Hard drive/SSD optimized DST check; not available. Laptop it’s out of warranty but it’s  3+ years old

Those are things that would be symptoms of a failing hard drive. You need to replace it. Post back if you need help with details on how to proceed.

What prompted you to do the test? Is it performing badly? Generally if the test will not run consider it the same as an error code.

I did it based on what I read on Google recommendations. Because while I was working on a PDF it’s shut me down. So just testing to make sure that I don’t have a virus or any complications

And it wasn’t the first time it freezes up and won’t let me reboot it or shut down properly

Whenever I do a restart it gets stuck and I have to do a hard press the power button to get it to shut down.
