One thing regarding that link that is N/A to your PC would be that single ranked memory is better for overclocking the memory (which would generate more heat, since overclocking puts more stress on the chips than the specs call for to get that boost in performance).

That is not doable in your notebook.  The BIOS is locked to prevent overclocking of the processor, memory and graphics.

So, that would not be an advantage to select single ranked memory.
