Pavilion 15-cc054tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Pavilion 15-cc054tx with the factory version of the RAM. I want to upgrade the RAM but 2133MHz RAM is not available in my country now, so which one can I use instead of 2133MHz? And also Is there an M.2 SATA port on my laptop? Can I use that to add SSD to my laptop?

Seeking Experts Answers I am really in a tight spot now.

Thanks in advance.

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

https://data2.manualslib.com/pdf6/130/12965/1296444-hp/15cc000.pdf?4929ca25ac18c0115ffd7b3402c464c6

Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade info and supported drive types.

The M.2 slot supports SATA M.2 SSD's, not NVMe.

DDR4-2133 memory is pretty hard to find anywhere.

You can use DDR4-2400 memory, which is still widely available.

2 x 8 GB is supported.

Some people suggested me to use DDR4-2666 memory instead of 2400 they are saying that 2666 is compatible with 2133. And is it really safe to use 2400 instead of 2133 because I already have one 2133 in slot 1 and now if I use 2400 in slot 2 will there be any problem?

Hi:

Yes, you can use 2666 MHz memory or 2400 MHz memory.  The memory automatically bridges to 2133 MHz to match the processors 2133 MHz FSB speed.

As long as you find a recommended compatible memory chip, you can add either a 2400 or 2666 MHz memory chip to the existing 2100 MHz chip.

What I suggest you try and do would be to find one of the compatible Crucial memory chip part numbers recommended for your notebook in the report at the link below...

2400

2666
