Testing indicates my laptop processor/hardware does not support windows 11. Windows 10 is fully functional, and the laptop is still all I need. Is there a processor upgrade/kit/ CPU/MB combo or other hardware upgrade that will support win 11? If so, please suggest part numbers etc. I am competent and have tools to install the hardware. Or is the answer "buy another computer?" I know win10 will be supported for a few years, but desire the added security of win11.

The first thing is it has 2.5GHz with turbo boost up to 3.1GHz 6th generation Intel Core i7-6500U Dual Core which is NOT upgradable. No available system board which has Intel Gen 8 processor.
If you wish, please use the following Guide:

An buy a proper machine in few years time.
