Dear Community .
Ive recently purchased the HP Pavilion Plus Laptop 14-eh0500sa (6L7K5EA) and not yet opened it , in the store where i bought from , I was advised that this pc would be functional for the programme auto cad and also some gaming. Ive been looking at info related to auto cad and it says that higher memory would be required 16gb. The specification says 8gb. on looking at the technical info it says 8gb(onboard) does this mean its soldiered and i cannot upgrade it? Does the board have two slots? Also i explained to the man im having fibre installed on the 4 April im noticing that the specification is not fibre wifi 5..can this chip be upgraded or do i have to get a wifi connector?

Hi:
The memory cannot be upgraded in that model series.
If you look at chapter 3 of the service manual, different motherboards are offered in the model series.
Motherboards that come with 8 GB of onboard memory and motherboards that come with 16 GB of onboard memory.
If you look at chapter 5 of the manual, there is no procedure to remove or replace the memory.

Thanks but isnt the motherboard the most expensive bit sounds like ive just got the wrong device, I'm glad i didn't open it now. Ive also been looking at the wifi , none of the laptops at currys have ethernet connection and ive got brick walls internally so would need 1 band for half the house and another for the other half. So in essence would need a dual band card as ive worked out .

You're very welcome.
Yes, it would cost a fortune (probably more than you paid for the notebook) to upgrade the motherboard.
Usually only the business class notebooks come with built in ethernet.
What you can do for the consumer class notebooks is to buy a USB3 or USB-C to RJ-45 gigabit ethernet adapter and use that to connect via ethernet.
Something like this:
