Hi @Suraj103,
Thank you for the response.
Try these steps:
Checking for Fan Operations
- Listen and Feel: Place your hand near the laptop's exhaust vent (typically located along the sides or back of the laptop) to check for airflow indicating that the fans are operational.
- System Diagnostics:
- Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings (usually by pressing Esc, F2, or F10 during startup).
- Navigate to the system diagnostics or health menu to see if you can manually run a fan test.
- HP Support Assistant:
- Install and run the HP Support Assistant software. It can provide detailed diagnostics of the system, including the status of the internal fans.
- Update Drivers and BIOS:
- Ensure that your system drivers, especially those related to the chipset and thermal management, are updated.
- Check for any BIOS updates available on the HP Support website for your specific model.
- Ambient Temp and Usage:
- Make sure you are using the laptop in a cool environment and not on soft surfaces like beds or cushions which can obstruct the vents.
- Monitor your usage to see if heavy tasks like gaming, video editing, or having multiple applications open are causing the machine to overheat.
- Cooling Accessories:
- Invest in a laptop cooling pad to help with additional airflow.
- Monitoring Software:
- Use software tools like HWMonitor or Core Temp to keep an eye on CPU temperatures and fan speeds.
Let me know how it goes.
