Hello guys! I want to find out if I can upgrade my HP Probook laptop to play games like GTA V/Fortnite? What would I need to upgrade and would it just be cheaper to buy a new gaming laptop?

Hi:

The only thing you can upgrade in your PC to improve performance is the memory.

Since your notebook only has the onboard Intel graphics, that is not really suitable for playing graphics intensive video games.

You cannot upgrade the graphics adapter.

Below is the link to the service manual.  The memory upgrade info can be found in chapter 1.

Thank you for the response! So it would just make more sense for me to buy a gaming laptop then?

You're very welcome.

Yes, you need a notebook with a discrete GPU with a decent amount of graphics memory.

Look into one of the HP Omen gaming notebooks.  Folks seem to think those are the best ones in the HP line.
