Help!...Advice on 2 laptops...diff between AMD A12-9700p Radeo R& and Intel Core i3-6100Ucpu@2.30ghz

I would like some advice...I am preparing to buy an HP laptop.  There are 2 that I have to chose from. 
 
They are both 12 gb RAM...but one haas 1tb hard drive and the other has 2Tb
 
x7w74ua#aba - this one has the 1tb hard drive...it has the following processor - Intel Core i3-6100UCPU @ 2.30GHZ
 
The other one is:
 
vs y5x37ua#aba - thisone has 2tb  it has AMD A12-9700P Radeo R7, 10 Compute Cores 4c & 6G 2.5-GHZ

What are the differences between these 2?  Im looking for a fast computer...one that is best on multitasking...

Any help would be GREATLY GREATLY appreciated.

If same price, on paper I would buy the second machine. Please read the following comparison between 2 CPU's

The AMD processor has more Core, more Cache and faster Clock speed (CCC consideration when buying CPU).

Hi,

I found your comment helpful but I am still confused about the two HP Pavilion 15 options I have:

A: AMD A12 quad core, 12gb ram and 4gb radeoo graphics

B: 7th generation core i5 with 8gb ram (not sure about the graphics)

I mean to use the laptop for Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, Photoshop and maybe some gaming if I ever find the time. Which would be best? The AMD sounds great but I am reading some negative reviews about battery life and incapacity to handle processes well. Any help?

I read also that Intel laptop processors are not so powerful i.e. those ending in u eg 6100u (mine is 7th generation tho). This doesnt make the AMD superior does it?

The devil is in the details. Some top of the line AMDs are faster than low end Intels. You are comparing the fastest AMD to a 2 generation old entry level i3. An Intel 8th gen i5 or i7 is faster than anything AMD has and will run cooler and have longer battery life. AMDs will be less expensive and the integrated graphics on AMD processors is perhaps a little better.
