Hi all! Really hoping someone can save my this laptop second hand recently, upgraded to ssd and really happy with it.... That was until the dog knocked over a glass of Coke over the keyboard. Quickly turned off. I took the laptop apart to remove the keyboard and no liquid got through to the main board. I left the keyboard overnight and tried again the next day. None of the keys worked. I took out back apart and left it a couple of days. Now most keys work, a couple don't, and a couple will enter two letters rather than one.
Has anyone had similar experience? Is it a question of time? Or any hacks to get this really dried out? I've also looked at replacing the keyboard but can't find one with the matching part number 762529-031. Are any other keyboards compatible? Really appreciate any advice please!

I found the keyboard for sale on Amazon.co.uk. It is inexpensive at under 15 GBP.

See the link below this line for the search that I did.

Hi! Thanks for this, but this means having to remove the keyboard insert from the outer plastic unit which from what I've seen on YouTube means literally having to break it out as it's soldered in. The part number refers to the keyboard included as part of unit in which it is fixed, less the tracking pad.

OK.
The keyboard is not soldered in. This video is in Spanish but it is the same series as yours. The service technician removes the top cover and then replaces the keyboard.
Since your notebook is an older model you might consider sourcing a used keyboard in good condition. Otherwise it will be a difficult part to source in new condition. HP does not sell your notebook any more
Take a look at this search I did in Google.co.uk.
The top cover with keyboard is available in eBay and other vendors in your region of the world. Replacing the top cover as a unit would be simpler if you do not feel you are up to replacing only the keyboard. I am not judging, but I know that not everyone has the tech skills or the required patience.
