Help! Game requires Graphics Driver 31.0.101.5592 but HP 17-by0062cl will not install

Hello - I am trying run the Delta Force game on my HP 17-by0062cl via my steam account. Steam and the game installed without issue however after the game initially loads and after selecting "launch" it begins to run then errors with "Graphics driver:  requires 31.0.101.5592 or later."

The game is requiring the HP 17-by0062cl laptop's UHD graphics 620 driver (currently at ver. 27.20.100.8853) to be ver. 31.0.101.5592 or newer. I have gone to the Intel support page and used its HW scan tool and downloaded latest driver it recommended (ver. 32.0.101.6979).

Using "have disk" method pointing to the iigd_dch.inf file in the downloaded updated driver folder, the driver installation completes without error however after reboot in device manager - display adapter shows yellow triangle and details state it did not install correctly.

When i uninstall the driver and perform update driver it then installs the "Microsoft basic display adapter".  Oddly when it installs that basic driver the game will run but very slow choppy audio/graphics yet with the newest driver attempt when the game begins it is very smooth but then driver errors at launch.

Search explanations seem to summarize that the laptop hardware is locked to the last driver HP supported for this model, preventing the new driver Delta Force requires from being installed even though Intel shows the driver as compatible.

Ive tried many attempted to force the driver install but always shows the yellow triangle after.

Can anyone please help with this problem!?

Hi:

You should be able to just run the Intel driver with the auto install method.

However according to the intel site, the latest version supported for your notebook's processor is 31.0.101.2137, so you may not be able to play that game on your PC.
