Help getting upgrade for ssd and/or compatible ram, and also thermal pasting.

Hi i want to know what ssd is suitable for my laptop because i've been planning to install ssd in my laptop. I was planning to get 250GB ssd; and i've read that the suitable ssd  would be M.2 type. For the ram, what would be the highest capacity ? Currently i have 12GB (4GB and 8GB combined). 

tldr; 
1. What is the suitable 250GB SSD that i should choose from ?

2. What's the highest capacity for RAM i can install in my laptop?

Welcome to the HP support community.

1) Here is the list of part numbers for SSD which you can choose.

2)Supports up to 16 GB of system RAM in the following conƭgurations.

• 16384-MB total system memory (8192×2)
• 12288-MB total system memory (8192×1) + (4096×1)

Thank you for the manual and the help! I see that the specifications only have 256GB as the highest SDD capacity. If one were to install 500GB SSD and 1TB HDD, would it still work?
