Hi, My laptop is brand new I purchased it abut a week or two ago.
My keyboard is all over the place. It seems to get stuck on certain keys and then highlights everything and clicks multiple times. It almost broke my computer by trying to open Excel a hundred times when it went into a clicking frenzy.
My biggest concern is that I need this laptop for my Univeristy exams and right now I don't trust it to go haywire on mewhile trying to sit an exam. Sometimes researting will stop it but it soon starts again. I tried to uninstall and reinstall my keyboard driver and itactually made it worse.
Right now I feel like this laptop is just not fit for purpose.
Can anyone help with suggestions to fix my keyboard?
There is nothing sticking on the keyboard or sticking it down.
It just sort of gets confused and starts thinking that someone is clicking, highlighting or pressing w multiple times.

There is no simple way to "fix" a faulty keyboard -- the only solution is to replace it and with modern laptops, this is not the old simple method removing 4 screws and popping in a new keyboard. Instead, you have to disassemble the whole laptop and the process is very labor intensive and very expensive.
If you were to approach HP to do a keyboard replacement under the warranty you would be without it for WEEKS -- something I think you would not be able to handle easily.
So, your better approach might be to contact where you bought it, explain the keyboard issues, and try to arrange for a refund or replacement. If the place is local, you could probably do this in one day.
Good Luck
