Hi there,
I just picked up an HP Omen Laptop 15-dc1011na yesterday as a second portable PC for gaming when away from home. I needed another mouse so had a look on Argos and found an HP Omen X9000 gaming mouse that looked like it fit the bill perfectly for my needs.
Reading the leaflet that came with the mouse I was pleased to see that it being an HP product It would install and open the program required to set up the extra buttons on the mouse which I like to use in game on LotRO.
I've just spent what feels like hours trying to figure out how to do this.
The Laptop didn't recognize the mouse when I plugged it in and it wasn't even recognized by their own HP software. I even downloaded an updated scanner from HP and still naught. I manually put in the product number and serial No and it found the X9000 but still no way to program the extra buttons. Beginning to wish I'd bought another Razer mouse if I am honest as this is quickly turning into a PITA.
I'd really appreciate some help here if there is any kind people who can help me with my mouse. Thanks in advance.

I have sussed it out and my faith in HP and the Universe has been restored! Simply all I needed to do was goto:
Download and install the little program which allows you to reconfigure your mouse buttons and change the DPI and more. So much for plug n play but hey ho what ends well ...ends well!
