Compatible adapters with description and HP part number
200-W HP Smart AC adapter (PFC, slim, 4.5-mm) L00818-850
150-W HP Smart AC adapter (PFC, slim, 4.5-mm) L32661-001
135-W HP Smart AC adapter (PFC, RC, slim, 4.5-mm)    L15534-001 - This will be the one your laptop has

Does the power adapter you purchased match the HP part number?

If not, it may not have the required smart pin, that connects to the charging circuit on the SM Bus.

The smart pin determines how much power the adapter provides to the charging and power circuits of the laptop.
