Hello! My battery died a few days ago (the battery test says it's failed, I get battery 601 alert on startup, when I turn on laptop the battery is on 0% and won't charge..). So I suppose there's nothing else I can do than replacing it. I'm still using the laptop having it plugged in while working since it turns off immediately, I haven't tried to remove the battery. I wanted to ask if there's a specific battery I should get, since the search results while trying to find the right battery for my laptop were rather poor. Thanks for any help.

You are struggling to find the right battery because you are trying to search by the model of the laptop. Use the HP Part number instead. The same battery is often used in several models even ones with different screen sizes. The battery I linked is the one for your laptop. Been doing this a long time.

Thank you for the manual!
I don't think you've linked the correct battery though, as that one is for HP 14 and not 15. I did some more googling on my own and found that HT03XL battery might be the correct and compatible one, but I'd need a confirmation for that. I'll try to open the laptop and look what the current battery is.
