Yes it has the HP vendor Code and it has zero cycles so  not previously used. It has full design capacity. Try calibrating.

Thank you very much for your quick respond. Can i take it as NOT COUNTERFEIT since it has 'vendor code'?

Appreciate your help.

If you have the HP Support Assistant app on the PC that app has a battery calibration tool. Use it. If not just run the battery down to no lower than 15%, charge it back to 100%. Do that twice. Also check runtime under a variety of conditions to get an idea how long it is really lasting.

!. I used HP Support Assistant app and entered 'Try Calibrating'

2. under F2 :  came across 'Smart check and Long/Short DST not installed'

3. Followed ..

Step 01. Remove the battery and unplug the AC/Power Adapter

Step 02. Press and hold the Power button for more than 30 Seconds

Step 03. Plug in the AC/Power Adapter (leave the Battery out for now)

Step 04. Press the Power button and check if the Unit works normal.

4. But there was no change in the 2nd point. and not-able to move forward

..what should i do next?

You are mixing a few procedures there. Long DST is a hard drive check. The remove battery, etc. is a hard reset. What happened when you tried calibration?

HP Recommended

True I am mixing up, Sorry. I found i don't have Component Test option in my BIOS  (Version : M84 Ver 01.48) for Calibrating. Tried to install an update as per https://support.hp.com/vn-en/document/ish_4123786-2338478-16

but unable to update. after restart of installed BIOS .exe , there support to appear a window for APPLY HP BIOS Update which is not happening as per support instruction. I have not tried usb update yet for BIOS. not sure i am in right direction.

Appreciate a lot

The battery test is in UEFI which needs to be installed as it occupies a small hard drive partition.

HP Support Assistant is an app that is generally installed at the factory and it has a battery test in it from Windows.
