Hi there, i was wondering what type of ssd does my laptop accept, i can't find any information about it and I'm interested in upgrading my laptop's storage type. So, i have 2 main questions:

1. what type of ssd does my laptop accept?

for example, nvme or sata, m.2, 2.5 or pci.

2. Can i use a ssd and a hdd simultaneously?

I mean, letting my default hdd has it is and using the new ssd in other port (if it has).

Thanks again, and any response is welcome.

mi laptop specs:

HP CF3021la

i5 1035g1

1x8gb ram ddr4 2666mhz ramaxel

intel uhd graphics g1

seagate 1tb hdd 5400rpm

Here is the Manual:

You already have a 2.5 inch SATA hard drive and there is a slot for a 2280 form factor M.2 SSD which can be either SATA or NVME (you want NVME). And you would then have both the HDD and the SSD. You would want to reconfigure so the OS (Windows) is on the SSD. Post back as I am sure there are more questions.

thanks for answering, i just checked my laptop user manual and i figured out that my laptopt supports a 256 GB, PCIe, solid-state drive + 1 TB, 5400 rpm hard drive simultaneously.

You can actually go bigger than 256 gb. You can go to as large an NVME M.2 SSD as you can find. 1 and 2 TBs are very common and 4 TBs are available through some outlets. PCIe was used to mean NVME a few years ago. You want something like this:
