I wanted to upgrade from my initial storage 512gb and i wanted to buy a hardrive. I wanted to know whether I should buy the m2 slot or the regular one please help..

Hi:

 

Your notebook comes with a 512 GB NVMe M.2 SSD, so you would need to replace the M.2 NVMe SSD with one having a greater storage capacity.

HP only has the service manual for the older model 15-dx0xxx, but it should be of help to you with opening up the notebook and replacing the SSD.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't know the answer to that question.

 

The service manual for the older model series indicates that there is only one M.2 slot for a SSD, so I don't know if the newer model series added a second slot or not.

 

Probably not.
