Hi need help my laptop is hp omen 15-en0001AX  model it has 8gb ram in one slot I need to add another 8gb in second slot I found the model is ddr4 and 3200mhz , when I search in Amazon it shows cheap rates I am skeptical about it , anyone can help sending me the link for right one to buy ??

Hi:

That is the correct memory if HP installed a DDR4-3200 memory chip, but you should only need to purchase a single 8 GB chip and it should work with the one that HP installed.

You should also re-check the model number you posted because there is no such model number.

thanks , i have updated my model no*(15-en0001AX) 

one doubt  if i installed this one will it utilize the ram as both combined as 16 gb right ?? do i have to worry about single channel or dual channel mismatch

You're very welcome.

Yes, when you add the second 8 GB DDR4-3200 memory chip, the memory will run in the higher performing dual channel mode.

The only thing that matters with the memory running in single or dual channel mode is that you need to install the memory in matching capacities (2 x 4 GB, 2 x 8 GB, 2 x 16 GB...) to have the memory run in dual channel mode.

Who makes it or the memory speed makes no difference.

For example, if you had a notebook with an 8 GB Samsung DDR4-2400 memory chip and you installed a Crucial DDR4-3200 memory chip, you will still end up with 16 GB of memory running at 2400 MHz in dual channel mode.
