Pavilion 15-dk1056wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hp 15-dk1056wm gaming laptop, i5 10300H, GTX 1650.

CPU temps are usually between 94 and 99 degrees Celsius when running a game. Occasionally touching 100 for half a second.

Does anyone know if this is normal?

Thanks.

@calebb -- those are high temperatures. Is your gaming laptop sitting on a hard surface, to not block room-temperature air to enter through the cooling-vents on the bottom?

Or, do you have it on a "cooling pad" (4 fans to force more air into the case) ?

Thanks for the response.  it is on a hard surface.  In fact I have elevated it on blocks to give more space on the bottom of the machine under the intake vents.

I do not have a cooling pad.  Would you suggest I get one to help cool it down?  Are there any particular ones you would suggest for this model?

Thanks.
