Hi HP Support,

I’m reaching out regarding my HP Envy laptop, which recently underwent third-party repairs to address a left hinge issue. While the hinge was fixed, the proximity sensor stopped working within the repair process of the left hinge. However, during that process, the camera became disconnected. I’ve also noticed a bend forming (slightly at the center) coming from the right side of the screen, likely due to misalignment at the right hinge, which this third part mentioned that the screen itself might need to be replaced to fix the bend issue(I'm not sure that is correct, but I wanted to address/ confirm this)

I understand that third-party modifications may affect repair eligibility, and I’m fully willing to cover any associated costs. Could you please provide an estimate for:

  • Realigning the hinges

  • Diagnosis costs
  • Fixing the screen bend (if it requires full-screen replacement or not)

  • Reattaching or replacing the camera module

  • And any steps that would be needed to make this a swift process

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Best regards,
