HP ENVY Laptop - 13t-ba000 CTO

I’ve seen many others mention the same issue with their HP envy laptop but I am just as upset. I purchased my laptop in the summer of 2020 and only 2 years later, the hinge is broken. I have never once dropped my laptop and take care of it like it’s my baby. It’s essential for my schooling. the hinge appears as if it’s separating, the screen is warped and the left hinge cracks when I open it. I have to manually adjust the screen back into place when I close it. I’m so upset that my warranty has expired right before i’ve experienced these issues. Is this coincidental or are the hinges made to only last 2 years? I made a big decision choosing hp over an apple product and I even paid more money. This is extremely frustrated and very difficult to get support for this issue. I would like some advice and possible repair.

I'm in nearly the exact same situation. Had my HP Envy x360 for 2 years with no issues. I always handled it with care, but last night the left hinge broke after I opened the laptop normally. Now, I can't shut my computer at all as the metal part of the hinge appears stuck and the screen begins to split if I don't keep it at a very particular angle. I need this laptop for both work and school, but now I can't travel with it. This is ridiculous for an expensive laptop that has been well taken care of - the fact that it hardly made it 2 years under normal use is insane and a failing of HP. They need to remedy this asap.
