HP ENVY x360 Convertible Laptop PC 15m-ed1013dx

I bought an ENVY x360 in January 2021 as I needed a durable, reliable, and trustworthy laptop to begin my back to school process. It is in immaculate condition. I am the only user and used it only for school work. I shut my laptop last Monday after a school meeting and have not needed to use it until this past Friday. It is safely stored when not in use. When I went to open it, I noticed it was not aligned and heard a crunch sound. A small plastic piece fell out near the left hinge and the screen looked bulged there. At first, the screen would not come on at all. I was able to push the screen and back cover of the laptop back together and the screen began to work. However, now I can not close the laptop. The manufacturer warranty is expired. I purchased accidental geeksquad for a year when buying this product, but now that is also expired. I have read on serial forums that this is a common problem. I begin school in one week. I need this fixed ASAP. What are my options? If this is a known issue, it would appear that HP would stand by their products and have this problem fixed. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!!

There is a class action lawsuit I found that a lady started in Florida. I joined it as well.
