The hinge of my HP Envy x360 is broken and damaged part of the screen.
Seeing so many reports of the same issue, it looks like a design problem.
My laptop is outside the warranty period. Can it be repaired at no cost?

I have contacted the support team of HP about the broken hinge on my HP envy x360.
They replied that they cannot do anything since the warrant period is over.
A search on the internet shows many reported issues with the hinge of this laptop. It looks like a design fault.
I think it is fair that HP solves the problem. Did HP help anyone with this problem outside the warrant period?

Hi @Sjoerdo,
Welcome to the HP support community.
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with the hinge issue on your HP Envy x360.
I completely understand how frustrating it must be to face this issue, especially when it has caused damage to the screen. I appreciate your patience and the effort you’ve taken to research similar cases.
To clarify, warranty coverage applies only within the specified warranty period, and once the warranty has expired, repairs are typically chargeable. That said, we genuinely want to help where we can. While I cannot guarantee a free repair outside the warranty period,
